Cleansing is More Than Cleaning

You wash your face twice a day. But are you doing it properly? Cleansing not only washes away dirt and make-up, it's the first step in making sure your Relastin products absorb properly. A few subtle changes can make your cleansing routine more effective—and your skin looking fresher, younger and more beautiful.

woman washing her face1. Use warm water. Hot water can irritate your epidermis, the upper layer of your skin. Warm water will open your pores, making them more receptive to Relastin.

2. Pick a cleanser based on your skin type. For dry or sensitive skin, go for a gentle cleanser, free of harsh detergents and alcohol. For oily or acne-prone skin, look for the terms "oil-free" and "non-comedogenic". Some acne cleansers contain medication, so make sure to check the label if you're sensitive to certain acne fighters. No matter what your skin type, never, ever use bar soap—it will seriously dry out your skin.

3. Gently massage the cleanser all over your face and neck for at least 30 seconds. This will not only get rid of surface dirt and make-up residue, but it will get the blood flowing to your facial skin, nourishing it.

3. Splash your face clean with warm water until there is no cleanser left. Residue can clog pores and prevent Relastin from absorbing.

4. Pat dry with a clean towel. Make sure your skin stays moist, which will help your skin absorb your Relastin product.
